Description
A hundred years ago, parlor soirees were a popular form of entertainment. Groups of friends would gather at each other's homes to enjoy an evening of music. The artists will include tenor John Horton Murray, of the Metropolitan Opera Company, who enjoys songs with spirit and character. The baritone, Michael McFarlane, has a talent for the current popular classics, and the violinist Aaron Packard and trumpeter Edwin de Groat lend an insinuating obbligato. A finale with all the participants concludes the concert.
