Jack Perkins

Sing 'Beauty is a marriage of poetry, music and spoken words. It's purpose: to pay homage to the beauties of Nature, and the God who created them. The project started with a book full of photographs and poems by Jack Perkins entitled Acadia: visions and verse. The book came into the hands of tenor John Horton Murray, a talented composer, who began setting the poems to music as a classical song cycle. Murray had two colleagues to music, Doreen and Michael McFarlane, who eagerly joined the project.

This recording, we believe, is unlike anything you have heard. May it Sing Beauty to you.
