Baritone Michael McFarlane, has performed in almost area of vocal
music. After obtaining his undergraduate degree from Oberlin Conservatory of
Music in voice performance and his Masters from Chicago Musical College,
Roosevelt University, he embarked on an opera and operetta career in Switzerland
and Austria.
He toured with the Vienna Opera Ensemble to Brazil's leading opera
houses. He has sung at Wolf Trap, Chautauqua Festival, and Carnegie Recital
Hall. For many years, he has been producing, directing, touring, and singing in
his own "concert shows" for Community Concert Association throughout the
U.S. and Canada. In recent years, he has sung the lead role of Emile de Becque in Roger and Hammerstein's South Pacific in ten different productions in ten cities.
He also sings oratorio, recitals, and has toured the world many times on Five Star
cruise ships.
